How ThoughtScribe handles data.

Information we collect

Account information, such as your email address and profile details associated with your ThoughtScribe account.
Uploaded content, including images, notes, summaries, topics, corrections, generated replicas, themes, collections, and related capture metadata.
Usage and operational information, such as capture counts, processing status, error events, referral activity, device/browser metadata, and product interactions.
Billing status, subscription identifiers, and payment-related records from our payment processor. ThoughtScribe does not store full payment card numbers.

How we use information

To provide the ThoughtScribe service, including upload, extraction, review, digital replica generation, search, billing, referrals, account support, and admin operations.
To process user content with trusted service providers, including AI processing services, so we can generate summaries, notes, contextual cards, themes, and digital replicas.
To protect the service, monitor reliability, prevent abuse, troubleshoot errors, and enforce usage limits.
To communicate important account, billing, security, support, and service updates.

How we share information

We share information with service providers that help us operate, secure, support, bill for, analyze, and improve ThoughtScribe.
We may disclose information if required by law, legal process, security needs, fraud prevention, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of ThoughtScribe, users, or others.
We do not sell your uploaded content or account information.

AI processing

ThoughtScribe sends uploaded content and derived text to AI processing services to create product outputs. Outputs may contain mistakes, omissions, or generated interpretations.
You are responsible for reviewing outputs before relying on them, especially for legal, medical, financial, safety, or other high-stakes decisions.

Retention and deletion

We keep account, billing, operational, and uploaded content information for as long as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, improve reliability, and enforce agreements.
You may request account deletion from your account page. Some records may be retained when required for billing, security, legal compliance, or legitimate business records.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect user information.
No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee that unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration will never occur.

Your choices

You can access and update certain account information through your account page.
You can delete captures from the product where available.
You can request account deletion or contact us about privacy questions at the email below.

Children

ThoughtScribe is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
